Our mission is to shift the global governance system from one that optimises for narrow metrics like economic growth to one that prioritises the well-being of all life on Earth.

We aim to achieve this by building a charitable organisation grounded in the high-growth principles of the startup world. By bringing together brilliant minds and fostering collaboration on tough, systemic challenges, we believe massive, scalable change is possible.

A Scalable Approach to Change

At Objective Function, we ask for people's time, skills, and creativity—not just donations. However, to make the best use of this time and effort, we must offer clearly defined projects and actionable tasks for members to contribute to.

Our strategy revolves around three core growth areas, or "workstreams":

• Community Building: Growing and connecting our network of changemakers.
• Content Creation: Spreading awareness and making complex ideas accessible.
• Action Areas: Developing and advocating for solutions to root causes of global issues, such as reputational markets.

Each workstream identifies pressing projects through meetups and discussions. Every project is assigned an owner, who can break it into smaller tasks to ensure it’s manageable and actionable. This structure allows us to scale effectively while maintaining focus and impact.

Building Expertise and Progression

To ensure success, it’s vital that everyone involved understands the foundational ideas behind Objective Function. We’ve created a staged progression system that both supports learning and matches members with projects suited to their level of expertise:

• Learner: S1 (Absorbing foundational knowledge)
• Contributor: S2 (Completing projects and expanding knowledge)
• Builder: S3 (Leading impactful projects and deepening expertise)
• Coordinator: S4 (Owning complex initiatives and mentoring others)
• Navigator: S5 (Shaping strategic direction and setting community priorities)

Projects are assigned a complexity rating based on the understanding required, helping ensure members take on challenges aligned with their current stage of learning and experience.
